On 10 February 2017, Entrepreneurship Development Foundation (EDF) organized a round table in Baku to discuss the findings of the monitoring report on "Protection and effective management of cultural heritage," one of the directions of the Development Concept "Azerbaijan - 2020: Outlook for the Future." The report was prepared by Mehriban Vazir within the framework of the Project “Discussion Platform for Promoting Development in Azerbaijan,” which is implemented by the EDF in partnership with the Center of Support for Economic Initiatives, the Center for Economic and Social Development and Economic Researches Center under the financial support of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation.
The event was opened by Sabit Baghirov, EDF President. Zahir Ahmadov, Representative of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation, delivered the welcome address.
Mehriban Vazir reported the findings of the monitoring and answered the questions from the floor. The presentation was followed by an interactive discussion. Sabit Baghirov made closing remarks.
The meeting was attended by experts in the field of culture, representatives from local NGOs, and the Swiss Embassy in Azerbaijan.
