On 21 December 2016, Center for Economic and Social Development (CESD), jointly with Entrepreneurship Development Foundation (EDF), organized a round table in Baku to discuss the findings of the Monitoring Report on "Development of Information and Communication Technologies and Ensuring Transition to an Information Society," one of the directions of the Development Concept "Azerbaijan - 2020: Outlook for the Future."
The round table was opened by Vugar Bayramov, CESD Chairman. Zahir Ahmadov, Representative of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation and Sabit Baghirov, EDF President delivered the welcome address.
Gulnara Abbas, the CESD Expert, reported the findings of the monitoring and answered the questions from the floor. The event was followed with the presentation and discussion of the opinion by the Ministry of Communications and High Technologies on the Monitoring Report.
The meeting was attended by ICT experts, representatives from local NGOs, and the Swiss Embassy in Azerbaijan.
