On September 16, 2016, in the Conference Room of the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers) Organizations of Azerbaijan Republic (AEC), the training for Business Associations on the theme of the "Public-Private Dialogue" was held by the Economic Research Center (ERC) and the Entrepreneurship Development Foundation (EDF) in the framework of the Micro-Enterprise Support Project.
Representatives of business associations and representatives of various social organizations attended the training.
Sabit Bagirov – President of the Entrepreneurship Development Foundation made opening remarks at the training. Faig Samadov – Secretary-General of the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers) Organizations of Azerbaijan Republic greeted the attendees. Galib Togrul - head of the Economic Research Center made a presentation on the dialogue between the public and private sectors.
The training covered the topics on the purpose of the public-private dialogue, dialogue forms, lobbying, and advocacy activities, public-private partnerships, components of the public-private dialogue, topics that can be discussed between the government and the private sector, representation in the dialogue with government, requirements of the business in the process of dialogue, channels of dialogue, preparation of the business for the dialogue, results of dialogue between the government and the private sector, international experience in the public-private dialogue, basic principles of establishment of public-private dialogue institutions, public participation, public participation opportunities of business in the process of making decisions by public authorities - legislative basis, public control, public councils, Azerbaijani experience of the public-private dialogue - Council of Entrepreneurs.
After the presentation, training participants were tested.
At the end of the training, the participants were informed about future training programs.
